Alex Cooper

Artist statement: Alex is a meticulous maker with quiet curiosity who is drawn to portraiture and the intersections of process and technology. Alex used portraits we took of LeRoi during his time with us and wanted to create immersive dream-like images that situated LeRoi into the world of his paintings. He was interested in the scattered elements of the paintings that were done in Brazil and used those as source imagery to remix these dream-like digital collages.
