Appalled by the Ku Klux Klan rally in Charlottesville, Virginia and the threatening activities of white nationalists who assert their racist ideology of bigotry, hatred, and intolerance, Stephen Saracino created a two-fingered ring that literally cannot be worn. As a humanist, he often uses provocative imagery to reveal their tactics. Through symbols, he opposes warring groups around the globe who use intimidation, violence, and weaponry designed to kill. His ironic practice utilizes jeweler’s techniques and precious metals to make small sculptures to criticize the culture of hate wherever it rears its ugly head.
