acrylic yarn rug
"My work often draws on art historical images. Charlie’s Garden is an interpretation of Charles Burchfield’s watercolor entitled Childhood’s Garden. While creating this piece, I studied Burchfield’s painting style and mark-making techniques. Even though my rug making method is inherently low resolution, Burchfield’s unique vision is still recognizable amidst the colorful pieces of yarn. It is a tribute to his original painting as well as his original style." -Kurt Treeby
