Rich Tomasello (b. 1978)

"My work in The Artists Among Us II is a continuation of my ongoing pen and ink rhinoceros themed work.  This particular piece shows a gathering of rhinoceros characters at some sort of ceremony or event.  There are rhinoceros banners and what appears to be a rhinoceros monument or statue.  I have been looking at photographs from WWII Nazi Germany and have used some of these images as references. The rhinoceros characters represent the animalistic nature of man and his constant thirst for power and the abuse of power. " -Rich Tomasello
