Carol Case Siracuse

"The watercolor painting that is my contribution to The Artists Among Us II is a breakthrough of sorts for me. It is an abstraction of a series of photographs that my artist daughter, Cynnie Gaasch, took of our garden. She chose the month of April, my husband Tom Palamuso’s birthday month, because, I think, the garden is in it’s earliest nacent spring form. The colors are light and subtle, and the forms are tentative, except for those of the structures that Tom designed and built that are strong and beautiful in all seasons, forming a framework for the backyard garden room.  I’ve always loved the photos Cynnie gave Tom as a present, and now we have my own interpretation of her subtly beautiful work." -Carol Case Siracuse
