Gift of A. Felix
A late storyboard work-in-progress only hints at the arc of time that Felix wanted to cover. With a curtain pulled aside like Charles Wilson Peale's unveiling of the first American public meuseum, two dinosaurs from the Mesozoic era (248-65 million years before humans existed) race toward a television displaying a woman's talking head. It is as if Felix is gazing back at us, tauntingly asking, "Do you get it yet?" We can only wonder what surreal, insightful narrative she was planning to paint.- Nancy Weekly
