Related to Peacemaker’s Journey, Heyawentha (Hiawatha) eventually helped the Peacemaker. Looking through a smoke hole in the roof, the cannibal does not recognize the face reflected in water in a pot for cooking humans; it was the face of the Peacemaker. He was ashamed of his past actions and shared dinner with the Peacemaker, whose wisdom prevailed, conveying that killing humans was wrong and that the white-tailed deer was provided as the natural source for meat. Together they composed the laws of peace. Eventually this translated to thinking replacing killing.
