In the dimly illuminated side passageway of the auditorium, you’ll find yourself surrounded by a series of dark looming canvases. “I hope to achieve an immersive environment in an unexpected place with unexpectedly large work,” says artist Cole Pawlowski.   “Because of these paintings' size, they'd generally be viewed from farther away to take in their composition/immensity/overall emotional impact; I'd like to turn that norm on its head by creating an installation that envelops viewers in my world of patterns, mark-making, and sense of physical/emotional balance.”
