Two hundred years ago
T.J.’s original draft of the Dec. of Indep Strongly denounced slavery, but this was excluded from the final draft of the D. [the one we know today, due to the resistance to it by 2 “states”. Had it been adopted, civil rights would have become a reality rather sooner than 196__. It is this omitted passage that this film addresses itself to; it is a color-sound-energy eulogy to Jefferson’s declaration of human liberty.
