Dear Burchfield:
I’m sorry to hear that you have not been well, and hope you will soon be painting again.
John Clancy tells me that you have been advised to go to Arizona. I know that I would find that no hardship, because we have just returned by car through the desert States and they are truly wonderful. We were in southern California for six months.
Utah, Wyoming, Arizona are all great and I think I could stand being away from New York city if I had to live in any of them.
Hope you will be better soon.
Very sincerely,
E. Hopper
