50. On two occasions we played the new records "Brahm's First Symphony" played by Toscanini - in the studio.[i]
Sunday evening, all of us to Berlins for Easter night Supper - Bartholomeus there also.

A.M. Telegram from M.A. + M. - also a box of salted nuts in the mail. -
P.M. all but B - to Buffalo. Sally + Art to Library - C. + I to Market - To Buffalo Society of Artists show at Stattler - Mary Ann Schuamkamp. Don Wheeler.
To "Black Iron" territory sketching - driven out by a policeman "Restricted Territory" - He took my license number + name + address.
To D - C -D - where I bought my birthday present - "A group of Negro Spirituals" by Hampton Institute - very beautifully + reverently done.
Leave C at Library to come home with other two, and thence home.[iii]

Snow started early evening - everything covered this morning - like the middle of winter, but at midmorning the gay song of a songsparrow.[iv]
