A sunshiny day, tho a chill persisted all day. Cleaning out the shed.
Tonight is the first feeling of spring - of small town or village Spring - when smoke goes lazily straight up in the air, a bonfire or two - a vague heavy bank of opaque violet cloud in the west, above it the evening star gleaming - the shouts of children have a special sound - the air is chilly, a thin crust formed on the mud. – I am filled with a yearning melancholy.

Tonight the Sibelius 7th Symphony over the radio by the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

All of us to see “Billy the Kid” a fine picture afternoon- two young artists from Toronto - Their interest and enthusiasm renewed my faith in myself.
