Saturday, Apr. 30, 1932-
A warm spring rainy day – heavy downpour at times, with occasional lapses. The air wonderfully soft and soothing to my nerves and aching muscles – Martin and his mother on to Clyde at 12:00- P.M. fussing around studio, and making excursions out into the yard to watch the growing plants – work a little on my swamp sketch which now has a value that I did not suspect when I made it. Bredemeier in at5:00with frames and samples. His samples for medium sized water-colors delights me, and I order three.

Martin and I to Buffalo to take in frames to B – Arthur and Catherine along – also to Gen. Pic. Fr. Co. to get frames for crows-
P.M. Martin and I and children for little drive thru Elma, down Bullis and Stolls Roads and to Marilla and in Clinton – Colors on swamp bushes east of Elma –
Wednesday –May 4, 1932–
P.M. Martin and I fixing lattice gate and moving grapevines. Martin inspects and trims front trees again.
Thursday – May 5 –
Martin and I toRochesterto see Charlie – find him cheerful.
Dinner at “Old Spain” – then shopping. Then to Behnka’s where meet Virginia. All of us to hospital –
