This was an ideal day for our fishing trip. Blue sky and scattered clouds, with stiff cool breeze blowing. At noon there was the usual bustle and preparation attending our trips. When I had changed my work clothes for still older ones, mother discovered a cavity in the seat of them. So, expediency beingdesirable, she directed me to lie on the floor on my stomach. This I did and getting a needle and thread, she commenced. During the operation, Louise came in and after laughing heartily, likened me to a turkey being sewed up for the oven. She discovered a serious omission in the proceedings and accordingly went and got a piece of paper to which she set fire and passed them up and down over me, declaring that every self-respecting turkey was singed before roasted. This done she tied my legs together with some cord.
Shortly after this Bill called up and
