“sling hot shots” at Coffee for their amusement,Coffee is so lazy he rarely does any real work putting it off on Fynes or Schweitz. This led to their having to work nights several times. The past two weeks Coffee has been on a vacation and as I was taking his place, we all three of us decided to show him up by getting the work done in short order. This we easily did and all this last week we had been thru by two o’clock whereas Coffee was usually finishing up at 5:30. As we only work a half day on Saturday we knew we would have to hustle to get Fridays tickets balanced so we came down a little earlier.
All morning we worked hard and by 11:10 the last page was balanced. It has never been done before and I believe John marvelled not a little. This afternoon passed uneventfully; I spent most of it working on a picture for Reynard.
