Retreat. This was Joe’s idea and he was ably seconded by Louise. The two of them carried it out. It itself was merely cleaning out the grapearbor and putting up hooks for a hammock. Usually we spend our Sundays there, whenever we can get enough together to make a noise. Sunday Bill was over - he is just getting to walk around – and we had a fine time.
At present Joe is sick. He has had rhuematism for about three weeks and last week be came home too sick almost to walk. Now he has to keep quiet and rest - and I know what that is on hot summer days.
Was over at Bill’s tonight. I had not been there long until Jim came over.
