was along this time. We started shortly after dinner on a Saturday. It was raining a little then but we did not mind that. We struck the Little Beaver at Covered Bridge. Here the two Jims and Fred fixed their fishing gear and started north along the creek fishing. I did not care to fish; I had my sketch book along and started in to sketching the fellows. It seemed to worry them tho, so I turned to Nature herself. Presently they made me fishbearer and in this capacity I serve all afternoon.
Towards late afternoon, it stopped raining and the sky began to clear off. We pitched our camp about a mile north of the Canfield Road under a big maple. It was quite close to a deserted farmhouse. Jim Groner was familiar with the territory and it was he who got water from the farmhouse well. By night every cloud had disappeared. Supper was composed of hamburg and fish, bread & butter
