about ten days of actual preparation and ten days of actual celebration. Some of the features were the Exibit, The Opening Night Commencement and the Egyptian festival. The last was the chief event of the celebration. It was supposed to have been a court scene in the reign of Queen Hatsheput of Egypt, about 4000 B.C. All the students took part. It was chiefly dancing and singing. The music was wonderful. * There was no school the last three weeks and of course we had great times getting ready for the exibit and practising for the Festival. So much was crowded in those last few days that I have no clear memory of it nor do I care to much. The chief charm of it all was that we couldn’t remember from one day to another what we had been doing on the preceding day.
This is a poor account of my year in Cleveland but there was so much that it would take weeks to write it all and I want to get it written so I can write of the things that are
