only like a moment and I was back again.Thru Waldo I got a job working in a dining hall at a place called the Euclid Villa a large apartment house. Waldo ran the elevator here, at night. For serving dishes in the evening I got a meal and twenty-five cents extra. And at this place I became anchored and it later on turned out to be a very enjoyable and profitable job. The only draw-back at first was my “boss” - a woman, Tilly by name. I never found out her other name. She was an alcoholic and on account of it had an uncontrollable and unreasoning temper. I will not dwell on this much but I will say that my work from Thanksgiving to March was a regular nightmare. I was in a fair way of become irritable myself had it not been for the fact that the hall was given over to another woman in March. I’ll tell about that later.
