Ray came upstairs, saying there were eight boxes in the storeroom downstairs to bring up, and that he needed my help. I earnestly requested him to let me bring them all up!
Lat night Frances had a supper for Mary as to-day was her birthday. Alice Carl, Bertha Hannah & Uncle Jim were the guests – and Mary of course too.
This afternoon I went downtown to spend a lot of money – and a lot I spent too. To-day has seemed more like Spring than before. The business streets – tho they were sticky, nasty and muddy – were swarming with people from the country, who had been urged on by the bright sound. There was a gay something about their talk and “visiting” that belongs only to Spring.
