told her that it was sure about Bill and myself, but that third honors were undecided.
This morning when Bill came over, he showed me two postcard photographs of Bernice and Helen Murphy. Bernice’s picture was good and I decided I would contrive to get one somehow; so in the fourth period I wrote a note asking for one; she replied by sending one back with a note, saying that it would have to do for both Joe and I. We wrote several foolish notes back and forth before we stopped. This gave me the idea of getting one from each of the actors who had had their pictures taken; and so this noon I asked Elizabeth Cornell; she promised to bring one to-morrow morning. I am going to ask Teddy to-morrow.
It seems as tho the play isn’t over yet. This morning there was a lot of talk about going up to Alliance and presenting it there. Bill and all the others were much for it, and intended to give it merely for expenses. Expenses promised to be over a hundred dollars. On the afternoon however, Bill got cold feet, an decided not to go in for it. It would be a lot of trouble, and no money would be made out of it. There is also talk about getting Miss Richards a present. Some suggested giving her twenty-five dollars and let her buy her own present, but as Waldo says, that would be "Somewhat
