“Out on the roof of the front porched” she replied. “Let’s throw at him again. You can get the snow easy from the porch.”
So we ran into the front room and hilariously made four snowballs each. With them we hurried out in my room again and waited for Joe. Presently the back door slammed, and Joe came out and unsuspectingly started down the yard. Then we pelted him right hitting him in the neck and everywhere. He certainly was surprised and as we sat laughing, he asked bewilderedly:
“Well where did you get your snow?”
“Out on the front porch” Louise replied.
“What are all these unused snowballs doing here” was his next question.
“When Charlie came upstairs I thought it was you, so I threw them all out the window!”
After Joe had cleaned out the cellar, he got “dressed up” and went away - where, I never thought. A little after, Bill came over and wanted to know if I was going to Bud’s the afternoon.
