who said that he had promised me one and if she kept that, I couldn’t have any, so she said if I couldn’t get one from him, she would give me hers. As Bud was sweeping the floor - or rather getting ready to - he asked me if I was coming over with Bill and King tomorrow afternoon. Bill had asked me to go this noon, but I had said I wouldn’t and didn’t intend to but when Bud asked me to my face, I couldn’t refuse. I couldn’t bare the thought of sitting around an afternoon doing nothing but talking. A little later I asked him if he thought his average would be as high as Hess’ and Mona McArtor’s, the only two eligable third-honors pupils. - Bill and I have appropriated first and second honors to ourselves - , but he said that he didn’t think so. I certainly wished he could get third honors.
Early this morning I had a dream that shows the effect of my imaginative mind - that is, of my imagining that I could look and watch my every action. Somehow or other, Jim (Bullard), Bill, Joe and I were at the top of a hill. I had to take our washing somewhere down the road around a bend, but the washing was of such compact sizes that I could put it in my pocket. Jim remarked that someone ought to go down around the bend with me, as it was dangerous, so, Joe went along, while I rode on a horse that had sprung from some unknown place.
