the lady he wishes him to or he will disinherit him. The Captain refuses and they quarrel. However, the Captain finds that his father’s choice is the same as his own, and the matter is cleared up with his father; but on his revealing the Ensign Beverly affair Lydia becomes angry at him and renounces him. Sir Lucius O’Trigger stirs up the wrath of Bob Acres, and a duel it arranged between the latter and Capt. Absolute. The duel takes place in the last scene. Bob Acres refuses to fight when he finds thatBeverly and the Captain are the same, so Sir Lucius anxious for a fight, challenges the Captain himself and just as they start, Lydia, Sir Anthony and others rush in. Lydia forgives the Captain and everything is allright.
Everyone done fine and the play was played well thruoutaltho I had two serious objections; one was that there was too much time between scenes; the other was that Bill didn’t love Beulah (Lydia) enough in the lst act. In the third act, I helped Bill change his suit to a white satin one which looked fine. At the end of the play, I helped him pack his suitcase and we hurried home. On the other sideof this page is a program which I am going to put in here as a sovenier.
