Wednesday, Arthur Thomas, when I knew he lived in Salem, and his friend Bert Freet, were running around up in school among the different classes. I met them in the hall in the morning and shook hands with the two young gentlemen from Youngstown. I should call Bert, his “pall” for that’s what Arthur called him in a letter he wrote.
