Well, I am thru work at last. I have not written in my diary so long because there was little to write, so I thought I’d wait till the end of the week. Well I have my opinion of working at Mac’s. Both Miss McMillan + Miss Dr. Walker are sworn spinsters – oh well what’s the use? It’s all over. I must say, however that I was ready at several times to go straight up when Dr. Walker would – now I am going to cut it out.
Wednesday evening Bill wandered in, and told me that he was going to the Stark station to meet Jim, who was coming back for the holidays. As I had to take a picture to the same place, I went along. As we were impatiently awaiting the car, who should stick his head in the door but Jim himself. He had come in on the Y+O. After we had shaken hands and exchanged greetings, I hurried off to deliver, Bill going up with Jim + his sister in their sleigh.
The next evening, Bill and King came in and we went to Stranahans; it was the first time we’d been together for – why it was only a week! Saturday evening, Miss McMillan gave me my choice of a book as a present and wished me a good-night and a merry Christmas. Tomorrow is Christ-
