“What’d he say” I asked
“We’re going to have a meeting all-right” was Bill’s reply.
“How did you do it?”
“Easy. We asked him if he was going to have a meeting tonight. He hemmed and hawed around and asked why we didn’t wait. Then I said, “Are you going to have a meeting or not? That’s all we want to know” Then he said he’s call a meeting to-night. If he had, we’d just a called a meeting over his head. We could just as well not”
“Sure”
There enough, Day was as good as his wood. Bill took charge after Day had announced the purpose of the meeting
“We had this meeting to see if the class wants to have something of the sort and we can make it a success if everyone gets out and works.”
Everyone was willing of course. The selecting of a committee followed, which fell to Bill, Wirsching and Bernice.
