Preacher’s Daughter. She was the daughter of a Methodist Minister. I happened to look towards where the other fellows were and saw Bill grinning all over his face. It was all I could do then to keep from bursting out laughing in the girls very faces. The reason for his mirth is the fact that the P.D. is a joke among us. We used to stand out in front of the Opera-house, where the Methodists held their services and wait until she came out, pretending that we wanted to go home with her. Finally they left and I could laugh with ease.
Then at half-past nine I went back, got some bouillon and went home.

Our conversation centers around a class party that Helen Murphy, Vesta Fisher and Mary Lee Boyle are going to give. There have been about a hundred odd reports airculating this week. The party was originally intended for Friday night. Then (I heard) a few of the boys were going to play basket-
