almost out of breath we finally cornered them in the doorway of Redmen’s Hall, all gasping for breath. Here they calmly said that they were going to the basket-ball game. We also said we were going to; But when we arrived there we let them go in first and then rushed off to the picture-show.
After we came out of this bake-oven, we came walking down Main St and were met by a bunch of fellows, who said that a dance was in progress at the Globe, where the basket-ball game had been. This, while it held no interest for me, as I don’t dance, wildly excited King and Bill. We all went over together and after a lot of peering and craning of necks, they went in, and I hurried home.
