Bill came over this evening as we had arranged, but King never appeared. We nevertheless proceeded with the chart-making which would have taken but two or three hours had we not stopped every two or three minutes to retort to some remark of Fred’s of Frances’s. Frances said she never saw any two people disagree more than we did. We certainly did disagree but that’s the way to make charts. It was twelve-thirty when I crawled in bed, but relieved that the charts were done.

Gee but I am mixed up in my school work. History takes up four periods a day, and besides we have a map of explorers to make. Then yesterday Miss Richards handed me a slip which called for a comp. on the “Working man in Germany.” To top this off Allen, when he handed me the list of players had raised the number to twenty-four. I hardly know where to begin at so I don’t begin.
This evening before supper Bill, when he brought our German Dictionary over, asked Fred and I to come over and played cards in the evening. King couldn’t come so there were just we three to play. Bill went up to get Kinkie but as he was studying and couldn’t come down for an hour, we three played
