pleasant diversion, the mighty Zufall arrived, to our sorrow.  He immediately set to work, showing us what to do.  The first thing necessary was a post-hole digger.  Someone remarked that “Pool” Brown owned one.  When asked he replied that they had none but that Acherman’s had one.  Acherman’s was just east of the park, so Bill and I ran over.  We knocked on the front door.  No answer.
     “Lord I hope someone’s here” I cried
     “It don’t seem like it” Bill replied dubiously.
     We proceeded to the back porch and there I banged and receiving no answer, Bill came up and tried a hand. - or first - at it.
