the sun’s rays in a brilliant glare, a brisk west wind was blowing, to which I joyfully turned my face, drinking in the invigorating air.
On arriving at the ball park, and picking our way through the mud, we saw two fellows putting sawdust on the sidelines. We went to that side and found that it was Meyers + Hafeley. Hafeley more than likely was working for a ticket - and he certainly was working - the sawdust comes in bales and no feather weight I assure you. In the field were several fellows kicking a football back and forth. On investigating we found that the North-ends and East-ends were going to play a game.
