     “Yes if we only hadn’t” I rejoined “but think of the honor” I added.

     We hurried down Lundy.  Just as we were rounding the corner of Main St., the win to redoubled its lagging efforts and we were greeted with a burst of rain and wind.  This took all the zeal we ever had for digging post holes out of us.
     “Let’s run down to Joe’s” I cried, suiting word to action at the same time.  Such a slippery, miry run!  But we finally arrived at “Joe’s” (J. Atchison + Son, haber-
