put up some posts and wire.  Tomorrow is the big game. the Thanksgiving game with alliance.  It was nice then outdoors and I consented, altho not relishing the idea very much.  There’s school spirit for you!  But digging post holes, I have heard is no paradise in disguise.
    Just before school let out it began to rain - and continued to rain.  Mr. Zufall came in and made for our corner.  I thought to myself that he was going to say that I didn’t need to come out, but to my horror he only asked Bill to come out!  So we hurried out of school into the wet slimy weather.
     “Gee whiz” spluttered Bill
     “I’ll bet it’s as muddy as the deuce out there”
