As we had taken in the sights at Machinery Hall, it was now almost one o’clock, both by the town-clock and by our stomachs which after all is one of the surest methods of knowing the time, (except in kids, when it’s always dinner-time.) We therefore hurried off and thru dinner and were down town again early.
Bill and I came to-gether and had walked around several times, without seeing any of the fellows. Finally we turned down Chestnut St. and met Day, Smith + Astry coming out of an alley.
“We’ve been looking for you” cried Day when he saw us.
“Have you seen any one of the decorating committee yet” asked Bill.
