office and incquired of them if they knew who was on the decorating committee. They replied that Mr. Stratton was and that his office was upstairs. We went up but he was out; on inquiring we found out that he had gone to supper. And so we let the matter drop until the next morning.
The next day was Friday, the first day of the Home-coming and we were let out of school for the rest of the day, at noon. We, having the same scheme still in mind, investigated further and found out that Mr. Bolger also was on the decorating committee. But when we went to him and asked him, he replied that he had nothing to do with it. Failing here, we tried to find Mr. Stratton but was unable to locate him.
