sneaking along in a vacant lot on the corner of East school Street and Seventh.  We halted, and it took about fifteen minutes over wrangling between us before we would go on.  We finally did so however and when we got to the lot, we saw an innocent horse!
     After arriving at Bud’s, we went out in the middle of the road to see if we could see either him or Smith.  We had not been looking long when we saw two fellows across under an arc-light at the corner of High and Hawley Sts.  Supposing it to be our confederates, we whistled at them, but received no answer.  A moment later who should come around the same corner but the whole gang who had been pursuing us the whole evening!  At the sight of them we retreated to the shelter of Bud porch,
