had proceeded to the east side of the school-building where we lay behind a large tree.  Down under the arc-light was a whole bunch of fellows, among whom we could make out some Freshmen.  And so we suspected this to be a plan to put up some more colors; therefore we lay very quiet.  Finally Day + Bud tired of this and got up, proceeding to the north of the building.  In doing so, however they betrayed our presence.  With a shout a couple of Freshmen ran towards our hiding-place.
     Snickeringly we got up and scrambled around North of the building.  As it was very dark, the two valiant freshmen gave up the chase.  In the meantime we had joined Day and Bud, and sneaking around
