boy present and I proceeded to the west of the school- building to put it up. As you can see, our rush was run on the plan of putting up a pennant without leading anyone know it at the time and then telling the enemy to pull it down! After some trouble I managed to hang the pennant on a wire suspended from a telephone post northwest of the building. Coming down the post, with the Sophomore (Bartholomew by name) I proceeded again to the scene of battle, by a winding route among alleys and by-streets (to throw them off the scent should they wish to find out where the pennant was hung).
