To hear me talk you would think something glorious had happened and that pulling down some colors with the one thing to be desired. It sounded that way to me and so I put in that seven line ending as a sequel to six pages! At any rate, that was the thing we had set our hearts on doing and we had accomplished it.
That was our only victory of the evening and the account of their victory must be brief. It may seem unfair to write six pages on a victory like ours and then devote merely a page or so to theirs: but my account was taken up a great deal with our ruses and my feelings, while
