For the first few games, we were very quiet, but after awhile it soon began to get slow for those who were not playing. And so with Smith and I as dogs and Kinkie as a cat, we had a dog and cat fight, and we certainly did drub him some, and incidentally we tried to make it hard for the others to play. Failing in this way of doing it, Day + I dug up some old history and read especially interesting passages at the top of our voices. We were rewarded by several wrathful remarks from the players and, I believe, even caused King to lose his game to Bill.
