Monica Angle (1962- )

This triptych was featured in the solo exhibition, Monica Angle: Overlook, held at Meibohm Fine Arts in East Aurora April 26-May 25, 2013. Angle takes a lyrical approach to painting land, sea and sky. Often she divides her impressions into several blocks that exude lush textures and colors, and then she assembles them into a larger mosaic that speaks prosaically of the experience. River Crossing V, on the other hand, extends the horizon line across three panels separated by narrow, literal spaces that accentuate the sensation of a vast panorama.
