Patty Wallace (b. 1957)

This work was part of a performance I did for Artists and Models at Shea’s. It was called “Cindy’s World” --a turn on Wyeth’s “Christina’s World”. I photographed myself with a self-timer 35 mm slide film and printed them myself at Campos. I mingled in the crowd as a boy and as a girl; I preferred being a boy, everyone wanted to party with me, no one recognized me. Some guys taught me how to crush beer cans on my forehead, so macho lol! --Patty Wallace, February 7, 2020
