Harry Leigh (b. 1931)

This sculpture has been exhibited twice: in the Pierson Lakes Exhibition, Stirlingrton, New York in 1991 and in the Anderson Gallery in Buffalo in 1993.  The Burchfield-Penney also owns 3 works on paper by Leigh dated 1972.  The Experience of Niagara is an impressive sculptural interpretation of the regional natural wonder, and its grand scale made a striking impression in the comprehensive survey exhibition, New York Collects Buffalo State.
