Gift of the Artist, 1989
The subject of this painting, Harriet Greif, was born in New York City, who studied at the Cooper Union and Columbia University, and came to Buffalo in 1947 with her husband Seymour Drumlevitch. She taught drawing, painting and design at the Albright Art School and the State University of New York College at Buffalo. After she died, Robert Flock created this memorial homage to his friend Harriet, who was a beautiful dancer and artist who painted exquisite non-objective landscapes.--Nancy Weekly
