To the country east of Elma, painting. Worked on Bullis Rd. - a group of young elms over-arching the road, looking west. The day started out cloudy and quiet, but towards noon a wind came up, scattered the clouds, and increased as the afternoon advanced, Painted until almost two o'clock. Then eastward almost to Cowlesville, where I parked by the pond, and at (sic) my lunch in the shade of a maple. Afterward, I drove around, looking to find another subject, but without any luck. So I drove home around 5:30.
