Long walk out Clinton St. to French Rd. A cold wind out of the south – a “new” moon-sliver high in the S.W. How good, and how friendly the earth, trees & sky seemed.
Evening re-read “The Call of the Wild” – only a great artist could tackle a tour-de-force, such as this, and make it seem plausable(sic)and real. To me the book is far more signifi-79.cant, than when I read it as a boy, and as a young man. Then I took its vivid reality for granted; now I have learned enough in my own work to know what a task London had undertaken.
B&I for a walk before bed-time – out Clinton. We feel in a silly hilarious mood.
