Very dark, low-hanging soggy sky, intermittent misty shivers. Oppressive.
Dreams in the night – one about Pal, whom I had met in some city bank. Scolded by a woman, he fled to me for protection – as I defended him to her, he pressed his head in my lap as I fondled him. Sunday Bertha suggested that if I wanted a dog badly, we should get one. I cannot make up my mind. Foolishly, I want Pal back.
Mont over with the youngsters. A lot of horse-play with them.
To bank.
P.M. – work all afternoon on last year’s “Butterflies gone to Sleep” cutting two inches off top (moving the moon down) and practically repainting the rest etc.
Evening – B & I to “Park” Theatre in Orchard Park to see “Barefoot Postman” (Robert Cummings as the confidence man, an unknown actor as the postman). Very good, fascinating in its information, Florida scenes.
