_________
Evening—to Lester Park—long walk up path to left of ravine—then eastward by narrow path—come out to waterfall on right hand ravine. Down ravine–dark and ominous difficulty walking over stones etc—we could have been miles inland far away from a city. –A feeling of loneliness and being lost in a woods. (Later we learned a wounded bear was roaming in this very ravine the same night)
