Stagnant oppressive morning – objects to east vibrate in a haze – black haze over the sun – a resounding train whistle like a stagnant August drought morning with its dk BV west sky – The hot day developed into a terrific thunderstorm at end of the day – Tremendous dusty calm
Red poplar catkins against the black sky, white light from the south; breaks suddenly a cloud burst, rain sweeps in waves down the street – sheet rhythms in the sky against clouds rhythms at even sky turns mustard; grows more + finally, sun like a metallic blue archlight appears – big rain [CD] + looming yellow houses golden streets glittering rain – vivid lighting turns black trees against the sun to vivid blue white –
